After a number of injuries and surgeries, my already poor posture suffered, so that by 30 I had a limp, a noticeable scoliosis and a frozen shoulder. I was stiff and in pain. It was at this point I stumbled across Pilates. Progressively working to develop my awareness, and to balance symmetry, strength and suppleness in my body I am now able to move and function with greater ease and enjoyment.
Since my initial teacher training with Body Control Pilates® I have gained additional qualifications as a Matwork Master Teacher and Back Care specialist. I now enjoy the role of supervising teacher for B.C.P. I regularly train in and practise Tai Chi and Qigong, with a view to combining the best of East and West, of ancient wisdom and modern understanding.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with family, walking, riding and training with my partner Sam, www.sussextaichi.co.uk.
